Picture Useage.
We
have the licensing rights for ALL photographs of the buildings
section produced on this site except those stated under the GNU
and Out of Copyright tags (see bottom of the page) including
most photograhs without the skyscrapernews.com tag on them. These
pictures are typically credited to an individual. ALL images in
the skylines, panoramas and visions except those with the GNU
tags we can license.
Please contact the address at the top of the page for more information,
rates are fully negotiable depending on what you want them for.
No charge will be made for a non-commercial website using these
images as long as you ask us first, credit us, and link to this
site.
We do not however have licensing rights for most computer generated
images except those on the visions pages - these images we do
not have permission for licensing are typically computer rendered
images of a single unbuilt building and the copyright tag will
credit a company rather than an individual. We will NOT provide
licensing for these images, however we will pass you the details
of the license holder for those pictures if you contact us to
help you get in touch with the right people.
About the pictures.
Typically our images are taken at an average resolution of about
4 megapixels, although some will be larger. What is displayed
on this site is a reduced version of the original photograph.
All pictures are originally saved as uncompressed before transfer
to the computer to preserve image quality and are kept archived
for future use. For publication, all pictures are available in
uncompressed jpg format, or tiff format depending on your specifications.
They can also be converted to EPS and PSD if you require.
Freelance Work.
We have photographers in all the major cities of the country who
are available for freelance photography assignments with previous
experience in photography for brochures, corporate art and magazines
(check out our ever growing client list).
They will work at competitive rates so if you need high-quality
archietectural or urban pictures they can be done to order, and
done to dead-line. For more information on this contact us.
GNU License.
This copyright tag on an image means it is licensed under the
GNU Free License Document. You may copy, reproduce or edit these
commercially or non commercially assuming that the licensing is
reproduced in all copies, and that you add no other conditions
whatsoever to those of this, in otherwords you must state that
the GNU license applies to the content but apart from that you
can use freely.
Out of Copyright.
Images with this copyright holder are out of copyright under British
law, you may use them in the U.K freely as the copyright has expired
thanks to their age. How you can treat these images will vary
from country to country, some countries have longer periods of
