This vision by Aros Architects features a 750 metre long replacement for Brighton's ruined West Pier with a 60 metre tall observation platform at the end and a cable car running the length of the structure.
The idea is that the structure of the pier will be anchored to the sea bed allowing it to rise and fall with the tides rather than fixing it rigidly as with a traditional pier.
Also planned on it is a manmade beach, and a variety of different uses including a water taxi terminal and retail space.
