Other Information

  • St Pancras New Church is so called to differentiate it from St Pancras Old Church that was demolished during the St Pancras slum clearance that allowed for the construction of the new train station..
  • It was the most expensive church built in London between then and the construction of St Paul's Cathedral.
  • As an afterthought, a north chapel was added in 1970.
