Northgate failed to advance as a scheme, in part due to the fact it would only be feasible if a single company took the entire building - a situation that never occurred.
Northgate also failed to have any residential aspect at all, and there was little by the way of public amenity areas. Instead the building was proposed to be built out almost to the maximum extent of the site boundaries.
