Bishops Place Public Consultation

Those eager to get the first glimpse of Hammerson's revised Bishop's Place development in London will be able to visit an exhibition and drop-in consultation sessions next week.

The scheme designed by Foster + Partners originally planned for the construction of skyscrapers, but at the expense of the popular Light Bar which was to be demolished.

Following a successful fight from the owners and many of the community in nearby Shoreditch who valued the venue, they have had the scheme replanned around their building meaning they can stay put.

The main tower of the development has now been modified so its footprint sits back further from Norton Folgate and now no longer consists of three staggered sections.

If you want to view the exhibition and take part in the consultation it's running on the 23rd and 24th of September. It's running on the 23rd from 10am to 2pm, and on the 24th from 2pm to 8pm and hosted at 224 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6PJ.

On hand will be members of the design team from Foster's, as well as others from the developer Hammerson and planning consultants DP9 who helped them work up the scheme.
