Developed by Key International and designed by Revuelta, Vega,Leon, it will have 56 stories accommodating 602 one to three bedroomed apartments with the maximum height of the building reaching 192 metres - big enough to make a dent on Miami's skyline but nowhere near the tallest building in terms of scale. Curved in design to take maximum advantage of its location overlooking the bay with a heavily balconied façade in front of floor to ceiling glazing, the main bulk of the tower stands above a large podium. This contains 9 levels of parking and will accommodate a large decked area on its roof plus a network of swimming pools and hot tubs, a volley ball court and something the developer has dubbed "meditation gardens". Insuring you will never have to set eyes on poor people again, Mint comes with its very own secure tract of land that totals some 13.5 acres. With tree-lined pedestrian routes, a spa, coffee bar and gourmet market for residents to enjoy privately in a secure setting. There's also a club, a business centre and for the nautically inclined, 300 metres of waterfront and docks for them to park their yachts and motorboats when they don't feel like being at sea. Internally the interior designers, the Urbanica Group, have tried their best at creating a luxurious airy residence. Entered through a double height lobby with stones and trees that hint at a Japanese garden, the apartments themselves have a 9 foot floor to ceiling height. There is wall to wall floor to ceiling glazing throughout that should allow the apartments to be flooded with sunlight as well as reveal views of the nearby sea and downtown Miami. As one would expect, the apartments are also fully wired for sound. Bearing in mind that occupiers might want to pump up the volume with tall speakers, not small speakers, and take advantage of their home entertainment system, the scheme is designed with additional soundproofing for each unit so Spinal Tap really can be turned up to 11. |
