Panamas Blades Of Glory

Named the Tower Financial Centre, this new design standing in Panama City comes from the drawing boards of Spanish architects Pinzón Lozano & Associates and will stand at a rather respectable 203 metres on completion.

Located in the heart of Panama's financial district the tower which will house offices will be adjacent to the Panama Marriott Hotel with which it will be directly linked to via an enclosed gallery so the facilities at the hotel such as boardrooms and restaurants will be available to the office occupants use.

Set on a bulky rectangular podium, the tower rises up as a central body flanked by two blades that extend three quarters of the way up the tower which is also topped by a striking white blade making a change from the usual spire.

Black glass facades feature which are set in black anodized aluminium frames which is capable of reducing heat gain by seventy percent and makes it look a bit like a certain games console.

It will consist of three basement car parking levels, up to nine levels of deck parking, an elegantly decorated lobby area as well as card operated security, 24 hour cctv monitoring, back up power supply incase of power cuts and 8 high speed elevators so no excuses for being late into the office.

Outside there will be landscaped plaza which will be illuminated and have relaxing water features providing somewhere to escape to for a quick break from the rat race.

The design draws on all of the modern facilities we have come to expect in skyscrapers of today in a hope it will attract not only local high flying businesses but also attract big names from the international business sector. Completion of the project is hoped to be 2009.
