Named the MOCO Centre the project will be developed by Longhu Properties who have several other projects going on in the city. The taller of the towers will have 52 storeys and stand at a height of 220 metres whilst the other two are 160 metres apiece. Their appearance is somewhat boxy at the base but about a third of the way up the towers an interesting outward tilt is worked into the design which almost appear like they are looking down to check out what's going on down below at street level. The taller of the towers also links to a low-rise structure via an enclosed glazed bridge. At their bases smaller angular buildings appear that have an zigzagged, undulating appearance. Sporting glass facades with pixelation adding a touch of retro gamer detail, the project appears to make use of tinting in blue and bronze which adds vibrance to the scheme. Intended to house premium office space in the main bulk of the project it is possible that the lower and smaller components of the of the scheme will contain retail and entertainment facilities such as cafes and restaurants to feed all those hungry office workers or to hold business lunches in. The project is split on two islands of land the tallest tower occupying on whilst the two smaller tanks stand together on another, roads will surround the islands giving the project good vehicle access. All being well it is hoped work can begin late 2008 but as of yet there is no completion date set. |
