Other Information

  • 14 Moorgate was designed by Erno Goldfinger and Henry Thomas Cadbury-Brown for a bomb site along Moorgate where London Wall runs.
  • The project was rejected on the basis of of its height which was substantially taller than the first generation of buildings proposed from the mid 1950s along London Wall. Ultimately however, the later set of buildings constructed were to the scale that Goldfinger et al. had designed culminating in Britannic House (now renovated as City Point).
  • Not only was the building not realised, but the address itself doesn't exist as it was part of a street plan that was never constructed.
