Images Other Information
- The stadium was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
- It is now home to Manchester City.
- It was originally built with 3 permanent stands and one temporary stand. The temporary stand was removed after the Commonwealth Games, allowing access to heavy construction machinery which were needed to demolish the running track and lower the floor of the staidum by several metres. A permanent stand was then built, completing the stadium on all sides.
