Other Information

  • Colchester Town Hall boasts Portland Stone rustication giving it heavy neo-classical looks set over brick. As such it marks one of the first examples of Victorian architecture turning into Edwardian.
  • Heavy baroque touches feature throughout, including the top of the clock tower which is clearly inspired by Christopher Wren's St Paul's Cathedral.
