The Courier Building

Images

  • The Courier Building, Dundee

Other Information

  • The more heavily neo-classical eastern section of the Courier Building was built in 1901-1902 to a design by Niven & Wigglesworth, although the tower itself with cleaner more Art Deco flavoured lines is a later addition completed in 1960 to plans by T Lindsay Grey.
  • The design of both sections are deliberately intended to ape the modernity of American newspapers which at the time were considered cutting edge with their Daily Globe style headquarters.
