  • Sitting on a Saxon site of worship, the main part of the building dates from about 1210 although the porch is early 16th century whilst the door knocker is one hundred years older. Other older parts include the 26 misericords that were made in the 15th century.
  • The Collegiate Church of the Holy Trinity is the burial place of William Shakespeare who was buried in the church on the 25th of April 1616.
  • Thanks to being the burial place of Shakespeare, the Church of the Holy Trinity is by far England's most visited parish church.
