Other Information

  • The domes of the Eden Project are the largest in the world each imitating a natural biome.
  • They contain two main domes, one mediterranean and the other tropical.
  • The domes are built with a tubular steel frame with hexagonal transparent panels made from a complex plastic that is a triple layer of thin UV-transparent ETFE film, inflated to create a large space between the two sides and trapping heat like double-glazed windows.
  • The Eden Project has been used for the filming of many feature films including the 2002 James Bond movie, Die Another Day.
