Images Other Information
- Aspire rises from an 8-metre tall concrete tube with a 52-metre steel mast above it that weighs 49.6 tonnes. The steel tubing features 400+ metres of lineal welding on it that took 23 weeks to create at Walton Steel in Bolton. This was then transported by road to the site and erected over a three day period.
- The steel of Aspire is clad with the colours of Purple Red, Ruby Red, Carmine Red and Traffic Red and thus intended to appear as a flame rising from a torch, as well as relate to the nearby International House and Amenities Building.
