Other Information

  • Portsmouth Cathedral is a former parish church that has been rebuilt into an Anglican cathedral. The chancel and transepts remain. This retained old church is obvious due to the wildly different architectural styling between it with its Norman-style architecture and the newer construction.
  • Original expansion work started in 1932 but was stopped at the outbreak of World War 2. It did not restart until 1990.
