Atlantic House

Images

  • Atlantic House, London

Other Information

  • Standing on the banks of the now hidden River Fleet, archaeologists working on the site before construction found an ancient Roman cemetery that would have laid just outside the original walls of the City of London.
  • The redevelopment of the site also took in the former area of Holborn Viaduct that hosted a Victorian gatehouse until it was destroyed during the blitz. This was rebuilt and included in the new design where it can be seen prominently from the viaduct and enjoyed by passing pedestrians.
