  • The Wellcome Trust Gibbs Building is split into two elements, one of ten floors and the other of six, with a 9 metre wide atrium separating the two and creating an internal ground level street.
  • Inside the atrium is a sculpture by f Thomas Heatherwick who constructed where it stands. It uses 150,000 glass pieces and hangs from the sixth floor running almost to the ground.
  • The Wellcome Trust Gibbs Building is a 2005 RIBA award winner.
