QE3

Images

Other Information

  • Stepping up towards the river Clyde, the northern tower element of the QE3 Building has been designed by the architect to resemble the funnel of the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 ocean liner that was constructed nearby.
  • In addition to the nautical visual imagery of its appearance, the name QE3 is intended to suggest that the building is a spiritual sequel to the Queen Elizabeth, and QE2 ocean liners.
  • Although it is structurally one building, it has been split up into three different ones for purposes of entry with each service core functioning as a separate address.
