  • Market Towers was developed by Covent Garden Market Authority as an office building for the organisation, but forced to sell the building by the Thatcher government in 1980.
  • The building was the only realised part of a proposal for a cluster of tall buildings that were first mooted in here in the early 70s, with construction attempts finishing in the early 80s when the Thatcher government actively blocked redevelopment of the area.
